The Brights Zoo Wildlife Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the animals that call Brights Zoo home while advancing wildlife conservation around the world.
Brights Zoo is a private, family-owned facility nestled in the hills of East Tennessee. Animals living here include some rare & endangered species such as addax, bongo, and scimitar-horned oryx, and Bactrian camels. The center also contains more common but exotic creatures like red kangaroos, spider monkeys, pandas, and zebras.
Brights Zoo is a privately owned zoo in East Tennessee. Therefore, the zoo does not receive state, local, or federal funding of any kind. All admission proceeds go directly toward caring for the animals and the upkeep of the zoo. This includes animal housing, appropriate diet, veterinary care, new exhibit design and construction, and facility maintenance.
